What does a Field Sales Performance Manager do at Swire Coca-Cola?
The Field Sales Performance Manager will be fully accountable to build the capabilities of the field sales team to drive growth at the rate of consumption. Direct responsibilities include strategic training of leadership including District Sales Managers and Field Sales Managers, as well as the tactical skill advancement of front-line associates including account managers and merchandising supervisors. Building these capabilities will enable growth in areas such as technological adoption, return on investment, collaborating for value, smart selling, effective merchandising and four step order writing. Entrusted with the professional growth of 50+ sales leaders and 250+ sales individual contributors, the SPM will report directly to the Field Sales Regional Vice President and will collaborate closely with the Field Sales Directors to deliver world class Direct Store Delivery (DSD) sales, service, execution, and customer value.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate the sales leadership team within designated regions, enhancing their ability to engage employees in delivering world-class customer service. Forge strategic partnerships and utilize consumer insights to bridge skill gaps, fostering a sales culture attuned to market demands.
  • Build and develop regional front line sales team capabilities to engage employees in delivering world-class customer service, including selling, order replenishment, and merchandising
  • Elevate the expertise of merchandising leadership to deliver outstanding customer service and ROI. Guide them in implementing efficient and impactful merchandiser training that delivers on the S & W budget and drives consistent high class customer service throughout the region.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaboration with the sales, logistics, and supply chain teams to improve execution and end to end success for the sales region.
  • Champion the adoption of existing technology and data platforms. This will be through the leadership and front-line sales use of hardware and software to bring data into value added actions.
  • Maintain connections to external customers through meaningful trade time and collaboration with the Retail Account Management team to understand needs and gaps and provide solutions to improve customer experience and cost to serve.
  • Collaborate with cross-regional SPMs, Customer Excellence, Retail Account Management, Finance, regional HRBP, and PRGM on enterprise-wide field sales capabilities gaps, opportunities and roll out plans.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Marketing preferred
  • 2+ years Direct Store Delivery Field Sales Management - leader of leaders required
  • 2+ years Direct store Delivery Merchandising Management - leader of leaders required
  • 1+ years Capabilities Management and Development in Consumer Package goods preferred
  • 1+ years Direct store Delivery Logistics Operations (Warehouse & Delivery) preferred
  • 1+ years Project Management required
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with experience leading teams; proven track record of coaching, empowering, and talent development.
  • A proven record of success in managing field sales in a best practices organization where success has been driven by trying new and creative solutions, delivering results and a deep appreciation for customer service needs.
  • Strong analytical and information technology skills and understanding of new and emerging supply chain management systems.
  • Demonstrated success in building and delivering P&L, operating and capital budgets in medium to large organizations.
