Marketing Manager - Mainstreet Acquisitions Messaging Transformation Strategy Lead - Hybrid

We're looking for an experienced Marketing Strategist and people leader to drive forward our acquisitions strategy in our first-party marketing programs, leading a team through a broader messaging transformation agenda to unlock outsized business value and operational efficiencies. The right candidate will have experience leading a team and driving forward marketing strategies in new, white-space opportunities areas leveraging new MarTech capabilities. They will need to work across multiple cross-functional teams, building relationships across the organization and should thrive in a fast paced environment.

How our hybrid model works
This role ishybridmeaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week)in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting.MondayandFridaysare enterprise- widevirtual work days.Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdayare in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the marketing strategy leader defining the destination messaging & user journey strategy across all of our outbound marketing programs in a collaborative cross-functional team (business partners, creative teams, product, tech, legal, compliance, etc). Partner with them to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to evolve the way we acquire customers.

  • Oversees, removes barriers, and provides thought leadership across all outbound marketing programs owned by our team.

  • Support and guide team members as they navigate a steep change management curve, acting with a bias of leaning in vs out to help problem solve and successfully complete migration of our programs as well as build next generation martech capabilities for messaging (real time, best offers, contextual multi armed bandit testing)

  • Guides creative strategy, testing and process improvements, scaling the usage and impact of new capabilities for our campaigns; owns the relationship with our creative partners

  • Pushes the thinking for new ideas and envisions the longer-term strategy for our program, getting partners and stakeholders bought into this vision and working in unison

  • Owns the relationship with marketing ops to increase the speed to market of our email campaigns and testing, deeply understanding process pain points and proactively coming to the table with solutions to enable marketers to test and learn more quickly

  • Works with the business lead to flesh out a mid and long term product roadmap for what capabilities we want to build in SFMC to make a step change in messaging transformation agenda, driving both business and consumer value

  • Is the subject matter expert in everything AI/machine learning (Persado, etc) and next generation for martech capabilities; actively researches and reads to understand new capabilities and proactively shares across the team

  • Enable direct reports to shepherd multiple marketing creative projects at once from brief to execution through our process while ensuring strategic intent aligns with execution/delivery at every step and timelines are met. Work across functions and with multiple stakeholders during the process in a well managed and organized manner.

  • Leverage problem solving and influencing skills to ensure marketing initiatives deliver on intent. Bring a data-based approach and customer-first innovative mindset to marketing to continually optimize customer experience and in-market results.

  • Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes. This involves the ability to build presentation materials and cohesive documentation that have equal impact when read as standalone or shared in a meeting environment.

Ideal Candidate

  • Has experience leading marketers in large organizations, along with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet execution timelines

  • Detailed-oriented with strong prioritization skills

  • Highly effective communication skills with outstanding writing and presentation abilities

  • Experience navigating marketing programs through change to enable to capabilities and strategies

  • Can manage the details of multiple projects, deadlines and changing priorities, while maintaining excellent and accurate work

  • Experience working in matrixed environments, in complicated processes, with a track record for making them more efficient

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in brand strategy or product marketing experience on the agency or client side, with experience managing multiple channels

  • At least 5 years of experience in planning, executing and analyzing marketing programs

  • At least 5 years experience in managing creative processes, partnering with creative teams and developing marketing materials

  • At least 2 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in marketing or business

  • At least 1 year developing Marketing Strategies leveraging SalesForce Marketing Cloud

  • Experience with Workfront

  • At least 2 year of experience in marketing for financial services or another highly regulated industry

  • At least 5 years of experience driving optimization plans and creative strategy

  • At least 5 years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity
