Description

This primary function of the position is to be the immediate liaison between the field, our various vendor partners, and Director of Purchasing by providing purchasing support and guidance, maintain Purchasing Department communications, and other related administrative actions. Additional responsibilities include reviewing and updating written purchasing program information, reviewing, and updating online information, generating reports, and data entry in support of the overall function of the Purchasing Department.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Direct administrative support to the Director of Purchasing
  • Work with vendor partners to provide reporting, manage, and organize annual vendor reviews
  • Create orders using Purchase Order (PO) management
  • Record and process rebate checks and other administrative recording
  • Provide administrative and telephone support to the field in finding vendor solutions, help solve problems and complaints, and other administrative functions as it relates to Central Purchasing
  • Update written vendor programs in the online and written Central Purchasing Manual
  • Update the information on the internal Central Purchasing website as needed
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and the community so as to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings, and other related efforts
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner

Job Requirements:

  • Strong writing and documentation formatting skills
  • Strong spreadsheet application and formatting skills
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written customer service skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Excellent overall computer skills - email, internet, MS Office, etc.
  • Ability to travel 10%
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
