Description
The Breast Center Assistantreflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Breast Center Assistantprovides support to the radiologists, technologists and nurses and to other healthcare professionals related to Breast Imaging services. The Breast Center Assistant also provides patient activity coordination, patient flow direction and problem solving with breast imaging patients and breast clinic patients. Typical duties include insuring that patient images and reports are available to and organized for the radiologist; completing paperwork for transcription; assisting patients to/from various locations; scheduling patients; organizing and tracking missing images and reports; contacting physicians, patients and others for the radiologist; interfacing and problem-solving with other staff, departments, physicians, other breast imaging facilities and patient as needed to facilitate a smooth and complete exam for each patient.
