LOCATION: ON-SITE IN SALT LAKE CITY - DAY SHIFT

JOB MISSION:

The Salt Lake Facilities Manager position requires a person who will be highly responsible and visible within an expanding company. This position will be responsible for and manage a multi member staff that will deliver all maintenance, janitorial, construction, building upgrades, site improvement and the general facilities management programs at the Salt Lake Facility. This individual shall be flexible enough to deal with varied business cultures as well as posse superior interpersonal skills to perform well in a consulting role where recommendations, advice are sought and valued.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Direct line responsibility for managing and administration of facility functions for the Salt Lake Facility. Functions include maintenance, janitorial, design and layouts, project management, budgeting, contracts and purchasing, scheduling, recycling, energy conservation, safe work practices, facilities, and job function training, etc.
  • Design as well as implement of strategies, for policies, and procedures, including standards for maintenance in addition to housekeeping practices. Ensure that facility remains safe and ready for business day to day operations.
  • Perform through staffing assignment, regularly scheduled audits of facility functions. Identify maintenance areas in need of improvement, develop plans, budgets including capital projects to be scheduled and implement plans.
  • Develop market and promote facility programs, policies and procedures to employees that will improve overall customer awareness through education. Develop effective programs for managing energy consumption and site recycling
  • Ensure effective and efficient development of capital projects and department budgets from start to finish. Develop capital plans for maintenance, new construction and renovations. Work closely with departments to implement their capital needs.
  • Provide design and layout for scope and construction. Contract with architects and engineers as needed and obtain permits or represent New Balance at permit hearings as required. Work with internal and external teams to develop specifications and RFI/RFQ. Evaluate quotes, award contracts, perform value engineering, purchase materials and equipment, and manage construction from start to finish.
  • Review lease agreements and recommend changes.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Proven career record of strong leadership, administration and management to direct reports overseeing individual sites
  • Possess a minimum of 10 years' experience in managing a dynamic multi- location facilities organization desired
  • Possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of relative facility construction, maintenance and janitorial practices.
  • Possess an expertise in the various trades and technologies we currently use and for the future. Oversee skills training (safety, maintenance and janitorial) for maintenance, janitorial and technicians as needed
  • Firm understanding of fire protection, state building code, life/safety and general safety (CFR 29 1910 OSHA) codes
  • On call 24/7 and act as the primary contact for emergency response events and respond to all emergencies as required.
  • Versed in the use of computerized maintenance management (CMMS) and building management systems (BMS)
