The HR Operations Manager is a key role within the HR Global Operations team to continue to transform, provide support to the assigned locations and deliver our priorities of standardization and optimization of HR processes, maximize engagement and employee experience.

The HR Operations Manager is responsible for collaborative HR support with assigned management teams, HR business partners, and Centers of Excellence. Providing HR advice, coaching, HR expertise and counseling on key people decisions in support of the operations strategies. They will need to work closely with the HR Centers of Excellence (COE), HR business partner, and Global HR Operations team to drive consistent HR outcomes.

The HR Operations Manager will have responsibility for our Ogden,, UT manufacturing site and our Shoreview, MN site. Travel will be required to support critical business needs.

Your Day to Day:

  • Engage actively with assigned groups to develop a thorough understanding of business operations and strategy in order to anticipate and recommend effective HR support aligned with the business.
  • Working with HR business partners, identify and anticipate ongoing and future business capability needs and oversee the development of skills to support these requirements through staffing, talent development, organization design, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Engage with business leaders to stay updated on changing business needs and anticipate HR issues and opportunities. Work collaboratively with HR business partners, Centers of Excellence, and other HR Operations leaders to identify, develop, and implement initiatives to support site needs.
  • Assess and collaborate with the business to ensure that management practices promote an engaging culture with a focus on change management and a dynamic work environment.
  • Create initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement while optimizing organizational effectiveness
  • Analyze and utilize data reporting tools to gather and study information for data-driven decision-making.
  • Drive efforts to establish and maintain a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Conduct thorough and objective investigations and provide necessary follow-up and coaching.
  • Collaborate with HR business partner and Centers of Excellence (COE) to deliver HR programs and solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Leads changes to policies, programs, and procedures to drive continuous improvement and consistency.
  • Provide advice and consultation to management and employees regarding policies, labor and employee relations, including performance management, corrective action and discipline, policy interpretation and compliance, and adherence to local, state, and federal employment and labor laws.
  • Develop assigned HR staff to meet both short-term support request as well as longer-term career growth.
  • Ensure HR compliance with all applicable governmental regulations.

Who You Are:

  • BS or BA degree in a related field or Equivalent
  • 5 years minimum, 10-15 typical,
  • SHRM-CP or HRCI PHR
  • Ability to working in matrixed organization.
  • Ability to manage projects and drive continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret employment law.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to identify, understand, and mitigate employee and labor relations risk.
