Job Description

As the International E-commerce Product Development Manager, you will be responsible to provide support to the Global ECL team as a cross border and international solutions subject matter expert in sales pursuits, solutions creation, training, and product development. You will be responsible for understanding market intelligence and proactively driving initiatives that add to the product GP in the Area. Work closely with the Global e-commerce logistics teams, opportunity managers, solution engineers, vertical heads, and commercial, and growth enablement organizational where required. Act as a solutions focal point for global business pursuits, ensuring necessary services and solutions are provided. Supporting NAM & global solution initiatives as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive global solution product development and system enhancement initiatives based on global customer/market requirements as well as productivity improvement initiatives

  • Create industry-leading products and product enhancements by anticipating customer needs

  • Develop and implement program or product roadmaps

  • Keep informed on area/regional/global e-commerce transportation projects and products to provide support as necessary

  • Explore ideas and avenues for growing global e-commerce solutions and help drive revenue by introducing new services, understanding current market gaps and needs or supporting global efforts to land new business

  • Ensure new global rollouts are made available to all regional teams and provide strategic support and training for the region

  • Education to the greater Maersk community on product solutions, systemic capabilities, and overall international e-commerce expertise

  • Global product roadmap development

  • Global product solution offering and market gap analysis

  • Act as the international cross border product solutions subject matter expert to support the business where needed with best practices

Who we are looking for

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Advanced or Bachelor's Degree in related field (Business, Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, etc.) preferred; or equivalent industry experience in transportation/logistics

  • 6-10 years of experience in global e-commerce logistics or related

  • Proven experience in understanding the international cross border e-commerce logistics market

  • Strong understanding of international air freight, ocean freight, customs brokerage, global parcel operations, and e-fulfilment operations

  • Current working knowledge of technology platforms, such as Microsoft Office, and ability to quickly adapt to new software

  • Excellent analytical & communication skills (both written and oral)

  • Ability to make decisions and problem-solve in the absence of management or direction

  • A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player with a collaborative mindset

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external

  • Ability to read, write, and speak Mandarin Chinese or having experience with Europe logistics market is advantageous but not required

  • Travel (domestic and international) is expected for 25-50% of time

The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for this position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
