Position Summary:

In this position you will be in charge of coordinating and supervising food preparation to food safety standards to serve internal and external customers. Schedule for this role is Monday thru Friday from 6:30am to 3:00pm.

Do These Responsibilities Interest YOU?

• Oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations including: food preparation, inventory control, and kitchen management; maintain business records
• Reconciles cash register on a daily basis, prepares bank deposit, and records transactions for accounting
• Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service
• Purchase food, supplies, and equipment
• Prepares weekly menu that encourages participation by associates
• Ensure compliance with sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Effectively delegate work to ensure an efficient kitchen
• Estimate food consumption, monitor food costs, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
• Oversee onsite special catering events for our community partners and internal customers; menu planning through clean up and billing
• Investigates and resolves complaints regarding food quality, service, or dining room

Do YOU Meet These Requirements?

• Prior experience in the culinary industry as a head chef or similar role
• ServSafe Certification
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of inventory control procedures, including ordering and reconciliation of food items, to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
• Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and requlations
