Overview

The Senior Attorney will provide high quality legal support to the Company, its business units, regional teams, and product and functional teams including sales and marketing, corporate development and other functions. The Attorney will be expected to review, draft, and negotiate a large number of complex client transactions within a corporate environment. The successful candidate will assist the Lead Counsel in advising senior company leadership on legal and risk management issues.

Responsibilities
    Stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments affecting the company, its clients, and industries and synthesize the information to incorporate it into company's transactional practices;
  • Represent company's interests and interface directly with client counsel and negotiating teams;
  • Draft and structure client transactions to be most advantageous from a legal and business perspective;
  • Develop internal guidelines, toolkits, and packaged knowledge on various legal and business issues;
  • Support, promote, and implement Legal Group initiatives;
  • Provide functional advice or training to less-experienced attorneys;
  • Interact with outside counsel as needed.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
  • JD and active bar membership (any state) required.
  • Professional training in corporate/commercial law or health care law;
  • At least 6-10 years of in-house or equivalent legal experience;
  • In-depth experience negotiating a large volume of complex legal agreements;
  • Experience interpreting employment law and/or corporate governance issues a plus;
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills;
  • Government and healthcare experience a plus;
  • The intellect and energy to excel in a complex and ever-changing environment.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.

Base compensation ranges from $135,000 to $160,000. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.

This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration
