Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder's Salt Lake City Area office is looking for an Early Career Geotechnical Engineer, Geological Engineer, or Geologist to join our solar geotechnical engineering team with experience, skills, and interest in developing their career.

We are looking for someone experienced and/or with interest in:

Geotechnical Field Investigations,
• Soil and Rock Classification/Boring Logs,
• Geotechnical Engineering Analysis, and
• Report Preparation.

The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years' experience and:

• Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel is a must
• Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, Including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred
• An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers, supervisors, clients, subcontractors, and regulators.

Education:

The ideal candidate will have:

• B.S. in Geology, Geological Engineering, or Civil Engineering (geotechnical emphasis).
• M.S. in Civil Engineering (geotechnical emphasis) preferred.

Additional:

• EIT or GIT is preferred (or the ability to obtain within 3 months).
• Some construction related experience is also preferred.
• Travel and outdoor work are anticipated about 30% of the time.
