We are open to this role being 100% remote within the United States with a preference for EST, CST or MST time zones.Unfortunately, Henry Schein One is unable to hire individuals residing in North Dakota, Hawaii, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Puerto Rico, or other US Territories.This role will only consider W2 candidates and not C2C candidates.
Job Summary
The Sr Salesforce Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing customizations, applications, extensions, and integrations within the Salesforce cloud. Leverages an advanced understanding of general business operations and existing frameworks for design, build and release of solutions and capabilities. They will work to create and maintain custom applications and processes within Salesforce, integrate third-party platforms, and troubleshoot technical issues within existing code.

What You Will Do
- Design and prototype solutions, primarily on the Salesforce platform using Apex programming language and Lightning, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce Unit Testing
- Customize objects, fields, record types, page layouts, validation rules, workflows (and successor options that replace them), process builder, email alerts, approval processes, list views, reports, and dashboards
- Perform and coordinate testing both in Salesforce and other applications
- Manage and maintain standards for requirements gathering and documentation
- Research and learn new technologies and development tools
- Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
Must Haves
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent professional working experience
- 5+ years of experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, and development on the Salesforce platform
- Understanding of the architecture, capabilities, and constraints of the Salesforce platform
- Proven experience with Force.com developer toolkit - Lightning Component Framework, Apex, Visualforce, Native, Aura components, SOQL, Webservice/SOA, Metadata APIs, and Unit Testing
- Proven experience in core web technologies including JavaScript, JSON and XML
- Experience with IDEs: VS Code, Sublime, Eclipse, APEX Data loader and Force.com
- Understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and SQL
- Proven experience with Agile development methodology and continuous deployment tools such as GitLab, Jira and DevOps tools like Copado or Gearset
- Understanding and experience with iPaaS solutions such as Tibco or similar solutions
- Good verbal and written communication skills, particularly around technical documentation
- Good presentation and public speaking skills
- Ability to build partnerships at all levels within the company
- Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications using REST & BULK APIs
- Salesforce certifications: App Builder, Platform Developer I/II, etc.
