Job Summary

This position is responsible for the sales of software into office based dental practitioners. Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts in a defined geographic territory. Build and form business relationships with Digital Technical Specialist (DTS) and Regional Managers (RM) in order to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.  Demonstrate product expertise on assigned products, strong selling and closing skills, and generate sales at budgeted levels.

What you will do

  • Develop, manage, and increase sales on assigned practice management software solutions, in order to realize assigned quotas for the portfolio of products. Requires face-to-face consultative contact with every DTS in the assigned territory, including co-travel time in territory and direct sales activities when unaccompanied by channel sales personnel.  Follow up on all leads assigned to territory, as well as closely coordinating with DTS, ESS and FSC for new business opportunities.
  • Plan, organize, and implement effective sampling and selling strategies using proprietary in-house customer data. Report specifically where and how samples are used.
  • Perform product demonstrations to customer, typically via the web, and tailor each demonstration specific to each customers’ needs, including an understanding of competitive products.
  • Maintain professional and consistent communication with HSPS Sales Leadership and perform activities with customers as directed.
  • Attend all sales meetings, dental conventions, seminars, and career development training programs as instructed by management.
  • Respond in a timely and professional fashion to customer concerns, executing follow up actions to ensure customer issues/opportunities are communicated to appropriate HSPS departments and resolved.
  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • 5 years prior sales experience, preferably dental software sales Exceptional organizational, prioritization and sales cycle management skills
  • Self-motivated and dedicated
  • Ability to handle numerous customers and opportunities simultaneously
  • Able to work independently and make accurate, educated decisions
  • Proactive problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • This position may require air travel and extended length car travel

The posted range for this position is $150,000.00 to $160,000.00 OTE which is the expected salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

The OTE (On Target Earnings) includes a base salary and commission target, 50/50 split.
