SUMMARY:
Engineering interns help the engineering department by working on projects to support the design and development of fire trucks
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Support the Structural Engineering design group. Activities may include product research, b modeling, documentation, and development of process improvements. | |
Experience with (work or classroom) Solid works or other 3D modeling software. | |
Other duties as assigned |
QUALIFICATIONS:
Junior or Senior, currently enrolled in an Engineering program in an accredited College or University
Undergraduate degree candidate
Basic knowledge of CAD modeling software
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work with minimal supervision and self-motivated
Must have good time management, organization, and written/verbal communication
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit for

required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
General office environment. May be required to go onto the shop floor occasionally. The noise level there ranges from moderate to loud occasionally. Environment may be warm or cool, depending on weather and other factors.
SCHEDULE:
Hours depend on business and department needs. All positions are subject to overtime as needed. Overtime can be scheduled by adding additional days to the scheduled days for the week or by extending the hours worked. See a supervisor for information on overtime worked in a particular department. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
